Alarm Management is the most critical safety feature that your Pipeline Controllers address during abnormal and emergency operations.   The appropriate response to alarms ensures that the risks of these operations are managed correctly.

Our human factors experts at the Pipeline Performance Group will conduct a formal audit of your alarm configurations and alarm response procedures.

We will assess:

  • Alarm presentation

  • Alarm format

  • Alarm content

We will work with you to clearly define the alarms, their functions and the correct response to those alarms. We will also address the alarm descriptions, their frequency of their use, and the impact on the controller during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations
